Cheriton Green Survey Results

CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.

Here’s a friendly and informal round-up of the Cheriton Green Consultation Survey results, covering responses collected between October 2024 and May 2025. While the sample size was small, the feedback was loud and clear — and it paints a vivid picture of life around Cheriton Green.

🏡 Who Took Part?

Half of the respondents were Thirteen tenants, and the other half were not. So, we’ve got a nice mix of perspectives from both renters and homeowners.

🌿 Gardens & Green Spaces

When asked about the gardens and alleyways, people didn’t hold back. Comments ranged from concerns about fly-tipping, drug use, and neglected gardens, to calls for regular patrols, evictions for untidy tenants, and more accountability.

Despite the issues, everyone said they find it easy to maintain their own gardens — so the problem seems to lie more with shared or public spaces.

🚪 Alleyways & Access

Only one person responded to the alleyway access question — and they said yes, they do have access. But that access comes with problems: rubbish, bins left out, and fly-tipping were all mentioned.

♻️ Waste & Recycling

Recycling is going strong — at least among those who answered. 100% of respondents said they recycle, which is great news. But fly-tipping? That’s a different story. Everyone agreed it’s a problem, and suggestions to fix it included cheaper removal services, skip days, alley gates, and working CCTV.

📣 Want to Stay in the Loop?

Half of the respondents said they’d like to register with Your Voice to stay updated on future developments. The other half? Maybe later or already signed up.

Final Thoughts

This survey might be small, but the message is big: residents care — and they want cleaner, safer, and more respectful shared spaces. With a few practical changes and better communication, Cheriton Green could become a much more pleasant place for everyone.
