We are excited to invite grant applications from charities, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations for new community projects or events to be delivered within Gresham/Newport, Middlesbrough before March 2026. This Community Together Fund has two themes.

1. Culture and The Arts - we encourage applications which will bring energy and vibrancy to Gresham/Newport.

2. Community Cohesion - projects which encourage cohesion in order to build a more tolerant, connected and informed community.

You don’t have to be from Gresham/Newport, but the project must be delivered in this area. It is essential that you have an understanding of the need within Gresham/Newport and you can apply for up to £1000.

Funding will be allocated to those who demonstrate an ability to carry out and feed back on activities which help address any division or tension in the community. Similarly, funding will be allocated to creative, innovative and artistic ideas which add excite and enhance the area. It will support your application if you can demonstrate resident involvement in the development of your idea and you have considered how the project will be maintained after the funding has ended.
